Collin Pelton
Co-Founder | CEO | Co-President
I'm an actor, and you likely haven't seen me in anything... yet. I'm a writer, but my stories aren't in the world quite... yet. I'm a CEO, but there have only been whispers of my reputation among the more elite in entertainment. I'm a producer, but these last 17 years have been dedicated to my training.
As an actor, Collin is experienced in dozens of independent films and commercial projects as a lead or supporting roles down to the bit part that accidentally steals the scene... From the Charles River in Boston, to the dusty Western sets of Santa Clarita. From working with directors like Guy Ritchie on Call of Duty Commercials on the biggest green screen studio set in history, or part of the "cool kids" in a Malibu Mansion Party that creates more memories than expected, Collin brings a variety of production experience that allows CE Inc / CE Productions to maneuver seamlessly into multiple mediums even within the same content, and keep productions as small or as large as needed per the needs of the narrative (and sometimes budget) while also maintain integrity with the artists involved, and the investors supporting the endeavor.
As a writer, Collin specializes in layered banter and dialogue, developing wonderful characters through their unique voices and complex worlds he loves to create. Described his screenplay "Kissing Chicken" as "distractingly good dialogue" by his CSUN professor Eric Edson and author of The Story Solution, said at one point he 'forgot he was supposed to be grading' [him]. A graduate of Cal State Northridge, in the Cinema and Television Arts program, Collin put his screenwriting training to immediate use with working actors and celebrities even before being awarded his physical degree. In fact, on the eve of receiving his diploma, Collin was on his way to San Diego ComicCon working with a panel with stars from shows/movies like Stargate SG-1, Xena: Warrior Princess, Napoleon Dynamite, HellBoy, and Heroes, [for a new show and created so much buzz there was a line that wrapped around the waiting area]. Though he was writing for the smallest screen, social media, he developed a reputation within the working actor community of connecting artists to their following using the tools of social media, and organizing virtual events that would earn him a partnership with Facebook and Instagram (pre Meta) and allowing working artists and public figures to gain verification (or be Verified) through the various platforms including Twitter (pre X and Elon Musk). This allowed Collin to collaborate with public figures across various industries including Major League Baseball (MLB) players, Recording Artists, Television Showrunners, DJs, International Models, Victoria Secret Models, Comedians, Power Rangers, a Sopranos cast member, Sylvester Stallone's Business Manager, and helped with the (one of the) first ever live broadcasts from the "Instagram Room" at one of the FB (Meta) locations with Emmy Winner / Oscar Nominated Shohreh Aghdashloo.
As a fan experience, community organizer, Collin is responsible for more top 10 trends than thought possible, and so not recorded/counted. Somewhere in the dozens, usually only limited to those who could work with him and when he had time. The communities would often reflect on the positive atmosphere he created in these communities, up to and including action that extended beyond virtual communities.
Accidentally trended a TV show to #1 several times, thought to be impossible due to a lack of traditional marketing campaign under studio. Later would be one of several key elements of a show saving campaign led by fans of the show, and the 500 jobs associated to make it.
One of Collin's most successful campaign took nine days to plan and execute with results hitting 100,000 posts in the first hour, and 19.1 million impressions. That same event would continue onto various platforms utilizing their unique experiences, and creating a content crawl for the community to enjoy (also attempting to sway cancellation or maneuver a show to another platform or studio). Collin's reputation for these strategies and this process would extend into other TV shows suffering from similar fates. Networks would cancel a show, and the showrunners would come to him to help them navigate those waters.
Joshua G. "Murph" Murphy
Co-Founder | CFO | Co-President
"It might look like a bunch of numbers, but to me it looks like a
painting..."
Retired after 15 years of service with the U.S. Air Force, Murphy took a
passion for organization and numbers and applied them to the American
Independent Spirit of Entrepreneurism. Owning several businesses through
his own desire or being pursued into partnership, Murphy the
multitasking master that he is, also pursued a Master's in Business
Administration (MBA) focused in Accounting landing just short of a dual
Master's in Public Administration (MPA) focused on Project Management as
well. Murphy gained a reputation in the Air Force for Command level
flawless basewide inspections, being recognized by Four Star Generals
(and "Coined" if you're in the know), literally writing the
documentation for training and preparedness for (Air Force wide /
Command wide / Job MOS wide) distribution. If there were Air Force
Administrative Legends, Murphy would have two photos in that hall of
fame on a slow Tuesday.
As an Entrepreneur, Murphy has helped reorganize businesses that were bleeding funds that could not point to their paperwork with a laser and a catnip induced feline. He has brought local businesses on the brink of collapse and navigated through the largest types of conflicts to include the pandemic.
Today, Murphy manages four small businesses successfully until his attention will shift entirely to the needs of Collaborative Entity.
Taking his prowess for administrative and accounting excellence and combining it with his love for everything film, television and streaming, he teamed up with Collin to found Collaborative Entity Inc and their child companies to create movies that he would want to see, and show his friends, with the highest level of critique - as he is a fan of every genre firmly believing: "A good movie is a good movie."
Together, we aim to make good movies...
